Full Job Description
We require an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead and manage a well-trained and enthusiastic staff team who deliver person-centred support to children and young people from a looked-after background. The service is based in Warwickshire and aims to empower children and young people through nurturing self-discovery, inspiring them to unleash their full potential and equipping them with the necessary tools and skills.
As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the service's overall delivery and management, ensuring that contract requirements and Ofsted quality standards are met.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Direct Management of the Team Leaders and support staff at each site
- Lead on ongoing active recruitment and retention plans to support the area with sufficient staffing resources
- Deployment of staff to meet individual needs and preferences within available resources
- Supervision, coaching, performance management and support staff, volunteers and students on placement
- Responding to referrals, undertaking initial assessments of need and leading on the allocations panel
- Ensuring all service users have a co-produced plan of support and a designated Key Worker
- Ensuring there are clear goals and expected outcomes for each young person with a defined path to enable each individual to reach their goals
- Co-ordinating a programme of regular person-centred reviews which put each person's views and unique journey at the heart of planning and decision making
- Working closely with local multi-disciplinary teams and community-based agencies to provide holistic support
- Maintaining high standards of environmental safety/quality and ensuring a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere
- Facilitate service user engagement, involvement and peer support
- The above criteria underpin your role as a Service Manager for Living Waters Service Ltd. However, this does not determine your entire role. You must be flexible to meet the demands of a growing service.
You will provide excellent customer care and proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding risk management and the support and welfare of the people we support.

Qualities & Experience
It is essential candidates applying can demonstrate the following;
- A desire to ensure children and young people have the best care experience
- Promoting a caring atmosphere where children & young people create a positive culture and ethos within their homes.
- Encouraging individuals to take the lead in their own life.
- Nurturing and positively engaging with the staff team to develop trusting relationships between staff and young people.
- Inspiring the service to create a comfortable, welcoming and child-friendly home environment.
- Creating and delivering programmes and training to ensure effective responses when things are unplanned.
- A relevant health or social care qualification (such as DipSW, degree or NVQ Level 4/5) is essential
- Must have managerial experience within residential or outreach services for children and young people (16 - 25 years old) with challenging behaviour and/or complex needs.

- Must have experience in managing safeguarding allegations and investigations.
- Must be able to manage emotions, be calm under pressure and work within stressful situations to achieve resolution using problem-solving and listening skills.
- Must have good communication, mentoring and leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Must also be able to work under own initiative to prioritise workload and be achievement and outcome orientated.
- You must be able to accept supervision, be accountable for your own practice, and be committed to your continuous professional development.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the practical skills required to plan and organise care and support delivery
- You will be required to be flexible, working some shifts on a rota system which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- You will have some experience in supervising/managing staff and resources.
- Must have a full UK driving license
